Safeguarding Yourself:A Workshop on Identity Protection
Your identity makes up who you are and identity theft is a crime. This type of theft consists of someone stealing key pieces of your personal information (your name, driver's license number, Social Security Number, account numbers, etc.) for fraudulent use. This Personal Identifiable Information, or PII, is data that could potentially be used to identify you. Safeguarding your PII is more important than ever. In this workshop, you'll learn about the latest scams and how to help protect yourself from them, ways your PII can be compromised, strategies to help keep your data safe and, most importantly, what you can do if your identity is compromised.
