REAP Section 3: Understanding Credit

View Calendar

REAP Financial Education Classes are specifically designed for women. The curriculum is a series of four classes that cover many important topics that affect women’s lives. Women will set financial goals, learn creative ways to increase their income, decrease debts, create a cost of living plan, and better understand their credit file and how it impacts their ability to meet their basic needs. Women will be provided with information on our IDA asset building program that can assist them in reaching their financial goals by matching their savings at a rate of 2:1. The classes are fun and interactive and we invite women in the community to attend.

Section 3 is an introduction to credit. Participants will learn the different types of credit, how to understand your credit score, how to build and repair credit, how to contact creditors, and what types of credit cards may work for them.
