Do you have stacks and stacks of paperwork containing personal information laying around? Don’t let your information fall into the hands of identity thieves. Make sure to properly shred and recycle it!
Secure Document Shredding
Vantage Credit Union and the St. Louis Regional Financial Empowerment Coalition will be hosting free, professional shredding services to help you securely dispose of paperwork that may contain sensitive information.
Limit of 5 boxes per vehicle. No 3-ring binders or large paper clamps. Event will occur rain or shine.
Have any old electronics—cellular phones, computer equipment or small appliances, for example—sitting around collecting dust? Don’t let them end up in a landfill. Recycle them responsibly! Nilo-Tech will be onsite to provide electronics recycling at no cost.
Limit on TVs/computer monitors is two per vehicle. No large appliances or alkaline batteries will be accepted.
Recycle Your Bicycle
Do you have an extra bike or two not getting used? Consider clearing up some space and donating them for a worthy cause.
In addition to document shredding services, St. Louis BWorks will be on hand to accept used bicycles. This organization encourages students to develop useful life skills, such as teamwork, character building, and responsibility through various educational programs.
Bikes of any style and in any condition are accepted. Take a look and help BWorks in their mission of helping St. Louis children discover their potential.
Mark your calendars, securely destroy your documents and donate your unused bicycles for a good cause!
